At-a-Glance

Truefit evolved Fighters Passport from a gym finder into a comprehensive martial arts platform. Through research and focused releases, we created a system where athletes can discover gyms, access events, set goals, and track progress. The responsive web app also helps gym owners manage classes, memberships, payments, and attract students—creating a thriving martial arts ecosystem.

How we did it

Kickoff

We learned about our clients product vision, strategy, and business model.

Discovery workshop

Our team met with the customer for an intensive discussion to understand the users, align on expectations, and define business outcomes for key milestones.

Market and competitive analysis

Our team conducted a rigorous review of existing and analogous solutions in this space, as well as emerging trends, and then sized up the market competition.

Technology R&D

Our architect and engineers took a deep dive into payment processing solutions as well as other gym management software to help define the scope of the solution.

User surveys and product strategies

We surveyed prospective users to understand their needs and reveal opportunities. This along with the technical deep dive lead to a product and technical strategy that the whole team could rally around.

Generate and prototype

We conducted a series of exercises that allowed the team to shape the user experience, define the information architecture, and explore the visual style.

Feature priority survey

Before a release plan could be finalized, we conducted a survey to help the team prioritize the right features, mapped them out, and got the whole team in alignment.

Release planning

We collaborated with our client to define what must be present in the initial release in terms of foundations, core requirements, and feature functionality. We were able to frame out the longer-term strategic roadmap.

Rapid iterative releases

The team successfully built out and tested all required features for an initial release. This led to continuous learning and adaptation that enabled the team to deliver new or improved functionality about every 3-4 weeks.

The big show

After multiple successful releases, the team prepared the software for Jiu Jitsu Con 2024 in Las Vegas. The app performed flawlessly allowing the team at Fighters Passport to get the word out at a large industry gathering.
